AN ENDLESS CIRCLE

Silver crusty lake beneath the winter's moon
Veils the gentle motion of the wave
Spider-like the hoarfrost clings to leaf
Now brown and rotting, giving back its life
Destined to repeat the cycle once again
From spring to autumn then back to winter's gloom
An endless circle

Green and verdant grave beneath the winter's moon
Veils the slow decaying of what remains
Mourners cling to trysting place of grief
Now cold and barren, dispossessed of life
Destined to repeat the cycle once again
From birth to death and to mourning at the tomb
An endless circle

Silent black horizon beneath the winter's moon
Veils the timeless dimension beyond the grave
Death forgotten, clings to earthly flesh
The soul returning to blessed eternal life
Destined never to repeat the cycle again
From faith to hope to life rejoicing in full bloom
An endless circle.
